The research in our lab focuses on understanding the mechanisms underlying metabolic adaptation, with the goal of applying this knowledge to combat obesity and metabolic diseases in humans.

We blend discovery-based systems approaches, hypothesis-driven molecular and cell biology, and mammalian physiology to obtain integrated, high-resolution insights into the adipose niche and identify pathways that regulate adipose tissue development, function, and obesity-induced metabolic dysfunction.
